I have no previous climbing experience, is Clip 'n Climb for me?

Clip ‘n Climb is designed to be fun for EVERYONE regardless of ability! The difficulty of our challenges vary so there’s something for everyone to have a go at, from beginner to expert. Our staff will also be there to assist and encourage those who are less confident.

I don't want to climb, can I go on the arena with my child?

We ask spectators to watch from the viewing area downstairs, or from the cafe on the mezzanine level at busy times.  If we are not at capacity, you may be allowed access to the arena, but this depends on how busy your session is.  To guarantee access, we would recommend purchasing a ticket and doing the activity alongside your child if they are nervous or if it is their first time.

If your child has additional needs and requires a carer’s assistance,  please let a member of staff know.

I just want to spectate, do I have to purchase a ticket?

There is no need to buy a ticket if you are simply spectating.  But please see the section above for information on access to the climbing arena.

How long do Clip 'n Climb sessions last?

Please allow 90 minutes from the time of the booking.  Sessions comprise of a 20 minute safety briefing and harness fitting, followed by 55 minutes in the arena and 5 mins to debrief and remove your harnesses.

When do I need to arrive?

Please arrive at least 10 minutes before your session so we can ensure you are signed in and ready for briefing.

Is there parking on site?

Yes, we have a small car park at the front of the centre, but this can get quite full. Please ensure you arrive in plenty of time to find a place in close proximity to the centre.  Additional parking is available on the road behind our building.  Please refrain from parking in any other business’ carpark as clamping is in operation in the area.  Clip ‘n Climb Preston will not be held responsible for any charges or damages incurred.

What should I wear?

Please wear comfortable clothing and trainers.

Open toed shoes, flip flops, boots, crocs, rock shoes or heels are not permitted in the climbing arena.

Long hair must be tied back and all loose jewellery, hats or hooded tops must be removed prior to climbing for safety reasons.

Do I need to bring any equipment with me?

No, all equipment required is provided by us and there are no additional hire fees for this.

Do you have wheelchair access?

Downstairs in the centre is fully accessible, with views of the climbing arena.  There is also a disabled access toilet.  Unfortunately, we do not have a lift up to the mezzanine level where the cafe is located.  However, you are welcome to bring food and drinks downstairs and our staff will be happy to help if you require any assistance.

Do you have lockers?

Yes, we have small lockers available at reception which are free to use. They are big enough for small bags and valuables.  We also have hooks for coats and jackets.

Do you sell gift vouchers?

Yes we do. They are available to purchase via the website and a digital voucher can be sent to yourself or the recipient to be used when booking online.

Can I leave my child unattended?

Children under 18yrs need a responsible adult on site, remaining in the centre for the duration of the climbing session
